Meet our Adorable Baby Goats!

The arrival of the baby goats is one of the most exciting events of the year at Chip-in Farm! They are so gentle, playful and curious…spending even a few minutes with them is sure to bring joy to your day.

Visiting the Barn

You are welcome to visit our goats and other farm animals in the barn during our business hours, Tuesday – Sunday from 10AM – 5PM. Here are some FAQs to help you plan your visit:

Can I just walk into the barn?

Yes, but please make sure to keep the barn door closed so the baby goats – also known as kids – don’t get cold.

Can I feed the goats?

The kids will only drink milk until they are 6 – 8 weeks old but the older goats and other animals always welcome treats from the Farm Store.

Can I bring my own food for the animals?

Sorry, outside food is not permitted for any of our animals, but food may be purchased for a nominal fee at the Farm Store.

Can I pick up and play with the baby goats?

When you visit the barn you will be able to watch the kids play and rest with their mothers.

The kids are raised and cared for by the Farmer’s Helpers community farm education program located on Chip-in Farm. They offer a wide range of programs and events for all ages, with opportunities to interact with the kids; play with other farm animals; and engage in farm-hand activities. Information about these programs is available on their website and Eventbrite.

Looking for goat milk and goat products?

We carry goat milk, yogurt, yogurt drinks and cheese from Bedford Blueberry Goat Farm, a micro-dairy located right here in Bedford. As our supply may vary, please call if you are interested in a specific item.

Whether you are shopping for eggs, local products, plants, or manure, or making a visit to the petting zoo, we look forward to seeing you this spring at the farm.

    1. Hi Joseph,
We are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-5pm except for certain holidays and inclement weather. The baby goats are not due to arrive until April or May but our adult goats, cows, mini equines and other farm animals love visitors througout the winter.
      Best,
      The Chip-in Farm team
